Darussalam Pondok Aren Tangerang Selatan and its implications for the learning activities carried out by teachers.</em></p> <p><em>This study uses the phenomenology method, namely the study of visible and real phenomena with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis in the form of descriptions of the results of interviews and observations and complemented with data obtained from supporting documents, such as books on the results of the headmaster's revision and other required documents. The subjects of this study were the principal of the madrasah and the teacher council. The research findings in this study consist of two findings, namely:First, the implementation of academic supervision of Madrasah principals in improving the professional competence of M.Ts. Darussalam Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, is carried out through the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up with a focus on coaching: (1) mastery of learning concepts and models that support the subjects it teaches; (2) developing teaching materials that are broad and in-depth which are presented in a creative, innovative and fun way; (3) the use of information and communication technology as a medium of learning and self-development for students; (4) continuous development of teacher professionalism by taking reflective action,Second, the implications of implementing the academic supervision of Madrasah principals on the professional competence of teachers in M.Ts. The learner of language faces difficulty if they are lack of vocabulary. Therefore, the teacher has to creates or using such of good, interesting, and new technique in teaching vocabulary that is able to raise the motivation of students to learn and achieve it. One of the techniques in teaching vocabulary is by using interactive CD as media. The researcher chooses interactive CD media, because picture, song, games, story are interesting for everyone, especially for children, and to change bored situation become a happiness, and enjoyable. Interactive CD is considered important to assist the instruction and facilitate the students’ vocabulary mastery. By using media, the materials in vocabulary can be more understandable, learning activities become more interesting, and the teachers can use various activities in their instruction. Instructional media are also very beneficial in English Language Teaching. This researcher was done at MI At-Taraqqie Malang.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The research method used of this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). It is focusing on particular group of the students at the fifth grade of MI At-Taraqqie Malang. The research instruments that used by the researcher on this study are test, observation, questionner, and interview.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; There are two cycles of this research. The result of cycle I was not successful because the students’ average score was 67.70. It did not achieve the criteria of success. Therefore, the researcher continued to the next cycle, by revising the plan in cycle I. In cycle II, the students’ average score was 75.67, meaning that the result had fulfilled the criteria of success. And the students’ response was better than previous cycle. So, the researcher stopped this research.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Finally, the result of the study shows that interactive CD can develop their vocabulary. They are not bored, but students look braver and more confident. They also became full of concentration in the classroom during the teaching-learning process. Based on the researcher finding, it can be concluded that teaching vocabulary using interactive CD can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery. The students’ score is getting better in each cycle. Online-based learning is a solution during a pandemic. During the Covid-19 pandemic, character education should not be ignored, especially at the elementary school level. Because the mainstream of character education is an integral part of education, especially basic education. Elementary school students really need character education for their development needs. Preparing a good generation is the same as instilling prosperity for the future. This study aims to identify the implementation of character education in elementary schools in terms of the urgency of character education during the COVID-19 pandemic in elementary schools; character education at the elementary school level and character education programs during the pandemic. The research method uses descriptive analysis research. Data sourced from literature studies, namely studying theories or information and books that support this research on character education during the COVID-19 pandemic in elementary schools; The results show that learning tools are prepared by adjusting basic competencies that are simplified without leaving Core Competencies (KI) ) 1 and KI 2. the learning program is carried out online, offline, and mixed by paying attention to affective aspects. Learning is designed by getting used to learning discipline, responsibility in completing assignments, instilling a healthy lifestyle, honesty and religious attitudes. Teachers need to be creative in arranging learning while still considering character education during the Covid-19 pandemic.
